While “Sent From Above” has been available on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube since September 4th, Malena held back on full promotion until now, patiently waiting for the perfect moment to share this chapter with us.

“Okay, so I told myself I’m gonna do this with one take and not worry about it because I think this is gonna be long, but I just really wanted to talk with you guys and give you guys some updates…”

“I really want to break that barrier which I always hated… I just want to say how grateful I am to the people who haven’t stopped supporting me although I was absent for such a long time. I’ve received messages literally every day from you guys telling me that you still listen to my music, that you’re demanding my comeback… without those messages, I don’t know what I would do.”

“I feel like most people go through that phase, especially when they’re young, when they feel like they have to step back from everything… I really needed to take some time for myself, grow a little bit as a musician and as an individual too before putting myself out there. I always prioritized authenticity, but I couldn’t give you my most authentic self without knowing myself first.”

“Every single day I’m dealing with homesickness… missing my family, my little doggie, my childhood home, but I know that I made that decision willingly, believing in my dream… My initial goal was to be in a place that encourages growth and helps me shape myself into being the person I’ve always wanted to be.”

“When we wrote ‘Sent From Above’ with my producer David, I really felt like this song feels very true to who I am… I had much more creative freedom, and that’s why I decided to kind of restart my career with this specific song.”

“I actually wrote it about this one person that appeared in my life and changed things completely. It really felt like they were sent from above… This song is kind of like a manifestation from my perspective towards the desire that I have of being someone as magical and beautiful towards someone in the future as that one person once was to me.”

“There is so much more to come. I am officially back. I’m so thankful to the people who are here in this journey with me… We’ve written so many songs and I cannot wait to share them with you. I love you so much… I’m back, and please stream ‘Sent From Above’!”
