Yesterday the Junior Eurovision 2024 took place in the Caja Magica of Madrid, Spain.

Since Maléna won the JESC in 2021, she’s been so involved in many different times in Eurovison/Junior Eurovision.  

This time, Leo  Mkrtchyan, who is 10 years old, was the one in charge of representing Armenia with his song Cosmic Friends. The charismatic song, which was the last one released for the contest, was composed by tokionine and it’s lyrics were co-written by Maléna and Vahram Petrosyan. This winning trio also worked together on the contest in 2021 writing “Qami Qami” for Maléna and last year writing “Do it my way” for Yan Girls.

Leo’s dream was to follow the steps of Maléna winning the contest, maybe that’s why he chose for his performance same colors Maléna did three years before: white and silver. Even if he did it fantastic and the Armenia’s team showed one of the best stagings, he ended up 8.

This way, Armenia still has never failed to be part of the top 10 in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
